The specialist

The ROSI R-Dongle is a virtually invisible companion for diagnostics, whether via CAN or DoIP. Like its larger counterparts, it is fully integrated into the ROSI Web and can be operated locally via the WebApp. Its strengths lie in its use with larger fleets and its virtually invisible installation options, for example in a customer's vehicle.

  • Automated, comprehensive diagnostic measurements for large vehicle fleets

  • UDS diagnostic protocol for professional vehicle communication

  • Linux operating system for stable, flexible integrations

  • Always-on device with integrated M2M IoT SIM (LTE)

  • Offline capability: buffer data and automatically sync it to the cloud later

  • Intelligent energy management + low quiescent current

  • Auto wake-up, e.g., via Wake-on-CAN (or comparable)

  • Measurement triggers: OnGPS, OnTimeout, OnButton, OnSignal, OnStillstand

  • WLAN & Bluetooth on board

  • Integrated local web app for setup, status, and on-site diagnostics

+Ideal for: standardized, fast diagnostic routines and continuous fleet monitoring – without manual measurement processes.

Loyal workhorse

Designed as a data logger, the ROSI R-Logger is particularly suitable for permanent installation in vehicles. Once set up, it performs diagnostic tasks, records communications, and creates load profiles based on set events. With its low power consumption and particularly small installation space, it is ideal as a permanent companion. Together with the WebApp, it comes very close to being a true all-rounder.

  • Multi-bus vehicle logger: 12× CAN/CAN-FD, 1× FlexRay, 1× BroadR-Reach, 2× LIN, 2× DI, 2× AI

  • Fast integration: Connection via vehicle-specific adapter cables (accessories)

  • Online & on site: LTE/HSDPA, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS

  • I/O & display: USB 2.0 (audio in/out), HDMI out (video)

  • WebApp operation: UI in browser (e.g., tablet) – perfect for test operation

  • CAN trace “ready”: Pre-/post-run (wake-up & bus idle), full trace (5/12 selectable + 2 fixed), ring buffer with pre-trigger (e.g., −20 s) parallel

  • #Automate diagnostics: endurance test, short test, and free scripts

  • Load collective live: display & measurement via CAN/CAN-FD

• • Audio + custom UI: recording/playback (e.g., Jabra) & individual measurement interfaces

In short: R.Logger is the “all-in-one” platform for vehicle data acquisition – from precise CAN/CAN-FD tracing and trigger measurements to script-based diagnostics, with mobile connectivity and a customizable user interface for professional measurement tasks.

R.Controller

As a monitoring and control center, the ROSI R-Controller is particularly suitable for stationary use. Once set up, it performs monitoring and diagnostic tasks. With its low consumption values, it is ideal as a reliable monitor for stored traction batteries, for example—in an emergency, it also alerts the fire department.

Use case: Monitoring & testing HV traction batteries (warehouse/production/test bench) – backend-supported (e.g., R-BatMon)

  • Connectivity: 2× Ethernet, WLAN, LTE, BT, GPS

  • Interfaces: 3× CAN-FD, 3× DI/O, 3× Power-Out, 3× ISO-SPI

  • Compute: ARM 5–6 cores (Cortex-A72/A53)

  • Memory: 4 GB LPDDR4, 32 GB eMMC

  • Extras: 6-DoF G-sensor/gyro, magnetometer, buzzer

  • OS: Linux/Debian

  • Power: Quiescent current 0.8 mA

  • Mechanics: 92×165×38 mm, 450 g

  • Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

In short: R.Controller combines robust edge computing power with broad connectivity and automatable I/O interfaces – as a central unit for scalable battery monitoring and test processes with backend connection.
